PCB named Azan Ahmed captain for Pakistan U17’s home series against Sri Lanka U17. The announced programme runs from 9 to 24 October at Multan Cricket Stadium, with a three-day game followed by five one-day fixtures. The squad announcement was released on 26 September.

Our perspective

The two formats ask different questions of young players: patience over longer innings, then scoring and bowling decisions under a limited-overs clock.
