HBL PSL puts player development in the spotlight
A new franchise award includes a role for fan voting.

An HBL PSL announcement dated 18 September sets out a US$200,000 award for franchise cricket-development work. Evidence assessed by a committee accounts for 80% of the final score, with fans contributing the remaining 20%. The inaugural assessment covers work from seasons three through eleven.
Our perspective
Development is a longer-term measure than a league table. Opportunities outside the tournament and support for emerging players are useful questions for fans to ask.
